The Best (Free) Places for Sourcing Editorial and Luxury Stock Images for your Website
One of the most popular questions I get asked in Discovery calls is whether you need to have professional brand photos before starting work on a website, and my answer is alwaysโฆ no!
While most designers (myself included) will require you to have your website copy and images ready to go, I firmly believe that you absolutely donโt need to invest in brand photography before you get a website.
Now, donโt get me wrong, I loveeeee seeing brand photos - Iโve had mine done, twice! - because it really helped me feel confident as a business owner and I really enjoyed the process.
However, they are another investment that isnโt always feasible all in one go or at the start of your business journey, and theyโre definitely not necessary for your website.
Iโve spent the last decade, over numerous projects and businesses, curating my favourite stock images and go-to websites to make sure that if we need to use stock images for your site, they match the high-end, editorial and luxurious feel that we want your website to have.
So, if youโre looking at sourcing your own, here are my favourite places to go. As with all stock image sites, you do have to do some curating and spend the time searching for the images that match your vision, but there really are some stunningly beautiful imagery out there for us to use.
